Undergraduate Business Student Professional Development
Student success at the Woody L. Hunt College of Business extends far beyond the classroom. Some of the most meaningful learning experiences include national conferences, academic competitions, industry certifications, employer site visits, and real-world professional development. These moments help students build confidence, strengthen their skills and stand out in a competitive job market.
Many of these opportunities come with costs that students cannot manage on their own. Travel, registration fees, lodging, and certification expenses often make learning difficult to access.
The Hunt College of Business Student Success Fund helps remove those barriers. This fund provides direct support that allows undergraduate students to participate in career building experiences regardless of their financial circumstances. With help from this fund, students can earn industry recognized credentials, compete at national events, meet employers, and take part in experiences that enhance both their academic and professional development.
David Sterling, Student Engagement Manager, shared how important these opportunities are for students: “Being able to attend industry events and competitions changes everything for students. It gives them real world visibility, meaningful connections, and the confidence to step into their careers prepared.”
On Raise Your Pick Giving Day, we invite alumni, community members, and supporters to invest in student success beyond the classroom. Every contribution, no matter the amount, opens the door to opportunities that make a lasting difference.
Thank you for supporting our undergraduate students as they learn, grow, and build the foundation for their future careers. Picks Up!
