For over 75 years, KTEP has been a trusted source for news, arts, culture, and storytelling in the Borderland and a hands-on learning space for UTEP students. Whether you’re tuning in to NPR or the Texas Standard, listening to our award winning locally produced news features, or enjoying our curated mix of jazz and classical music, KTEP brings you the very best that public radio has to offer.
Join our KTEP Spring Drive and help us reach our $60,000 goal to support our thought-provoking local news and original programming, including investigative journalism.
Your support helps us keep these programs alive and provides UTEP students with invaluable experience in broadcasting. Public radio at KTEP is more than content. It’s education, connection, and service to our region.
Support news, music, and information. Because public radio matters.

KTEP is licensed to The University of Texas at El Paso and is operated as a public service to the region. While UTEP provides substantial support to cover the costs of salaries, utilities, and facilities, the University does not provide funding for radio programming as part of the station's yearly budget. KTEP relies on additional funds from donations to help purchase your favorite programs. All gifts made to KTEP are processed and receipted by the University.
